The Toyota Liteace is a line of motor vehicles produced by the Japanese manufacturer Toyota. Launched in 1970, the Liteace is a medium-sized van which was most commonly exported to Asia, Australia and Africa.
The Liteace was marketed in two different forms over its life:
- A box-like and more angular design, similar to a Nissan C22 (Vanette).
- A more MPV-like design, with design cues of the Toyota Hiace.
In 2008, a new model, based on the Daihatsu Gran Max which launched in Indonesia in late 2007, replaced the Toyota LiteAce along with Toyota TownAce in Japan. Both the truck and the van type are available in 1.5L engine.
